Implantology allows to replace missing teeth in a similar way to a nature, with this only difference that the root of the lost tooth is replaced with a titanium screw.
Thanks to this method, a patient can eat, talk and smile without embarrassment. The high standard of procedures performed at the Victoria Clinic is provided by specialists with many years of experience in replacing single-tooth-loss as well as full arch reconstruction using the All on-4, All on-6 method.
Prior to the implantation procedure, a consultation with specialist of implantology is necessary to assess the general health of the patient and to assess the possibility of performing the procedure. During the visit, the implantologist may recommend a CT scan as a part of the assessment of the bone level and to prepare an individual treatment plan.
The next stage of treatment involves the insertion of the implant. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. After the procedure, the patient must wait 3-6 months for implant to integrate with the bone. This process is known as the osseointegration. In some cases, the level of the bone is not enough to insert the implant, therefore the ‘bone’ augmentation with a biomaterial may be required.
Following the required period of implant integration, the prosthetic stage takes place. During this appointment, our specialist either uses intraoral scanner or takes impressions for the tooth crown.
The crown will be shaped and coloured to match the rest of your teeth, providing a natural appearance to your smile. The final stage of implant treatment is fitting the crown on the implant.
Once the treatment is completed, it is important that the patient attends for regular dental check-ups in order to maintain the guarantee for the work.
